Сhina pledges US$281 million grant to SCO member states in 2025

Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that China will provide approximately US$281 million in grant funding to Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states within this year. The pledge was made during the 25th SCO Summit in Tianjin.

Xi Jinping further confirmed that China will extend an additional US$1.41 billion in loans, reinforcing financial cooperation within the organisation. This is reported by

According to Xi, China’s investment stock in other SCO member states has already exceeded US$84 billion, while annual bilateral trade with SCO partners has surpassed US$500 billion, highlighting the depth of China’s economic engagement with the group.

Through this initiative, China seeks to strengthen multilateral cooperation, promote sustainable growth, and expand regional ties among the SCO member states, the source claims.
