Five BRICS countries are among top ten leaders in GDP growth in 2024
By the end of 2024, the largest BRICS economies have demonstrated significant growth. According to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), China, India, Indonesia, Russia and Brazil are among the top ten leaders in terms of GDP growth among 40 countries. This is reported by
Toda Palavra, a partner of TV BRICS.
India topped the ranking (6.7 per cent GDP growth). Indonesia (5 per cent) and China (5 per cent) followed. Russia ranked fifth with 4.1 per cent, while Brazil was ranked seventh with 3.4 per cent growth. In addition, the ranking included South Africa with a rate of 0.6 per cent.
It is noted that the economies of the BRICS countries in 2024 developed faster than the average OECD countries (1.7 per cent).
