China ancient rock paintings reveal secrets of 4,000-year-old civilisations
The images show scenes of daily life, work and spiritual beliefs
Two remarkable rock paintings, estimated to be 3,000 to 4,000 years old, have been uncovered in China’s Gansu Province.
Announced by the cultural relics survey team, this discovery offers a rare glimpse into the lives and beliefs of ancient inhabitants in Northwest China. This is reported by

The first and larger painting spans 2.4 metres in height and 3.9 metres in width, depicting a hound mid-motion surrounded by five other animals, including bighorn sheep and deer.
The second painting, located five metres away, measures 2.2 metres tall and 2.3 metres wide, featuring five figures.
Despite weathering damage to three of the images, the painting boasts a scene of a man driving a pot-bellied sheep with a whip, the first such depiction found in the region.
