Thailand to launch digital arrival card for tourists in May 2025

New online system aims to replace paper forms and facilitate border procedures

From 1 May 2025, all foreign travellers visiting Thailand will be required to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online at least 72 hours before entry.

According to
Kazinform, a partner of TV BRICS, this digital form will replace the paper-based immigration card as part of efforts to modernise and streamline border procedures.

The TDAC must be filled out in advance by all visitors, regardless of their mode of travel (air, land, or sea) or visa status. Exemptions apply only to transit passengers who do not pass through immigration and travellers using border passes.

Similar digital arrival systems are already in place in Cambodia, Malaysia, and Cuba.
