Iran has strengthened its position as a leading manufacturer of medical equipment in the Middle East. The country’s authorities intend to ensure a stable and high-quality supply of products by actively introducing new technologies and supporting local manufacturers. This is reported by

The Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education emphasises that 50 per cent of medical equipment used in the country is produced domestically.

Over the past five years, the number of manufacturing companies in Iran has increased fivefold to 2,000. The volume of manufactured products has quadrupled.

The country’s authorities are actively implementing monitoring and quality control systems to ensure the safety and effectiveness of medical devices.

In particular, a system for reporting problems with medical equipment and electronically recording inspections has been launched, enabling problems to be promptly monitored and rectified.
