Kazakhstan launches golden visas to attract foreign investors
The Kazakhstani authorities announced the introduction of a new investor visa designed to stimulate capital inflows and strengthen the country’s position as an attractive destination for international business. This is reported by
Kazinform, a partner of TV BRICS, with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
The new visa programme, known as the “golden visa”, will allow foreign citizens who have invested at least US$300,000 in Kazakh companies or securities to be eligible for an investor visa in electronic format.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan noted that the “golden visa” opens the possibility of obtaining a residence permit in Kazakhstan for up to 10 years. Such programmes are successfully used in many countries around the world, and are an effective tool for attracting investment and technology.
The authorities are confident that the introduction of “golden visas” will create a favourable environment for foreign investors, strengthen confidence in Kazakhstan’s investment climate and promote the development of sustainable international economic ties.
