Bolivia prepares to host Latin American Amateur Animation Festival

Exclusive in-person screenings will occur throughout the country before the main event

From 15 to 19 July, four Bolivian cities (Chuquisaca, Cochabamba, La Paz, and Santa Cruz) will host the third edition of the Latin American Amateur Animation Festival: “ANIMATEUR” 2025, which will be held in a hybrid format, combining both online and in-person activities. The TV BRICS International Media Network will serve as an informational partner of the festival.

The event, organised by the Bolivian Network of Animators (RAB), will bring together students, enthusiasts, and professionals in the animation field, featuring emerging animators from countries including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Peru, and Uruguay.

The main aim of the “ANIMATEUR” festival is to promote and showcase emerging Bolivian and Latin American talent in the field of animation. The festival seeks to strengthen training and exchange between students, enthusiasts, and industry professionals and to foster a culture of animation in Bolivia.

Among the key events are the masterclass “Pipeline: How to organise an animation production”, delivered by Argentine animator Pablo Brand, and the roundtable discussion “How to enter the professional world of animation,” featuring Latin American experts such as Leonardo Beltran, Julian Sanchez, and Jorge Cuellar.

The festival will close on 19 July with a live broadcast via the RAB’s digital platforms.
