Brazil to start beef exports to Indonesia

The opening of the Indonesian market to Brazilian beef, made official in 2023 after years of diplomatic and health negotiations, will begin to gain momentum in 2025.

Brazil will begin exporting beef to Indonesia following an agreement signed between the two countries, the Ministries of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and Foreign Affairs announced.

The deal authorises the sale of bone-in beef, bovine offal, meat products, and prepared beef items to the Asian nation. This is reported by
Agencia Brasil.

In 2024, Indonesian imports from Brazil totalled US$4.2 billion, mainly in soybeans, fibres, and textiles.
