The stage is set in Rio de Janeiro as the city prepares to host the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, a landmark event marking its first time on South American soil. The 41st tournament kicked off this Wednesday (August 20) at the arena within the Olympic Park.
More than 300 gymnasts representing 78 nations are converging on Brazil. This is reported by

In the individual arena, Geovanna Santos and Barbara Domingos will represent Brazil. Spectators will also have the opportunity to witness some of the world’s finest rhythmic gymnasts.
The Championships in Rio will feature a series of individual events encompassing all-around, hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon, as well as group events including all-around, a single-apparatus routine, and a mixed routine.
Individual qualification rounds are scheduled for Wednesday (20th) and Thursday (21st), while the group events will take place on Saturday (23rd) and Sunday (24th).
