Talks were held in Minsk between Belarusian President Aleksander Lukashenko and his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian. Following the meeting, the parties adopted a joint statement on the deepening of Belarusian-Iranian relations, according to BelTA, a partner of TV BRICS.
In the statement, Lukashenko and Pezeshkian confirmed their commitment to expanding friendly ties between the countries and expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation.
The Belarusian leader noted that the talks were substantive and would lead to positive changes in bilateral cooperation.

He stated that Belarus considers Iran an important political and economic partner in the international arena.
“The Belarusian side is focused on the systematic implementation of the roadmap for comprehensive cooperation between Belarus and Iran until 2026,” Lukashenko added.
In turn, Pezeshkian emphasised the common positions of the two countries on international issues. According to him, thanks to cooperation within BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Minsk and Tehran can develop not only multilateral but also bilateral relations.

Following the talks, a package of documents was signed on key areas of cooperation, including the aviation sector, environmental protection, healthcare, media, tourism, scientific and technical cooperation, and other areas.
