Young entrepreneurs from SCO countries gather at forum in Russia

The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Youth Forum has opened in Omsk, bringing together more than 350 participants from 10 countries. The meeting brought together young entrepreneurs and experts to discuss ways to enter foreign markets and seek investment. This is reported by
Eurasia Today, a partner of TV BRICS.

The forum is part of the international acceleration programme “SCO Business Incubator”. Participants include representatives from China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Belarus, and Russia. They will attend lectures, practical workshops and intensive educational sessions with more than a hundred mentors and industry experts.

Wang Dong, Secretary General of the Chinese side of the SCO Business Incubator, noted that it is young leaders who are driving innovative development today.

“In China, enterprises created by young people provide more than 80 per cent of jobs, and they account for over 60 per cent of new market players,” he emphasised.

According to Tatyana Seliverstova, Head of the SCO Business Incubator, the forum helps entrepreneurs who have already achieved success in their home countries to enter the international arena. Special attention is also paid to teaching business skills in the countries of the organisation.

“Young entrepreneurs often face difficulties when entering new markets,” she explained.
