The UAE national athletics team concluded their campaign at the 11th Arab U18 Athletics Championships in Tunisia with a tally of six medals. The team clinched three golds, one silver and two bronze medals, securing sixth place in the overall standings of the regional competition. This was reported by the

The championships, held at the National Athletics Stadium in Rades, near the Tunisian capital, took place from 23 to 27 August. The final day of the event saw standout performances from the Emirati athletes, including Salma Haitham Al-Marri, who won gold in the women’s hammer throw with a personal best of 55.78 metres.
Maryam Karim secured the second gold in the women’s 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.50, while Abdul Quddus Ahmed Ali claimed the third in the men’s 200m, clocking 21.32 seconds.
The UAE’s medal count also included a silver and bronze in the girls’ pole vault and javelin throw respectively, and a bronze in the boys’ 400m.
