Brazil is set to offer free electronic visas (e-visas) to citizens of all nations participating in the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), scheduled to take place in Belem this November.
The initiative aims to expedite the entry process and eliminate the need for attendees to visit a Brazilian consulate in their home countries. This is reported by
Agencia Brasil.
Previously, e-visa applications were limited. The new policy will extend the e-visa option, free of charge, to all accredited COP30 delegates. The COP30 e-visa will be valid until December 31, 2025, allowing multiple entries into Brazil within that timeframe.
According to the Special Secretariat for COP30, this decision underscores Brazil’s dedication to ensuring that all accredited representatives can attend the conference and receive the necessary travel documentation swiftly and without cost.
