The Chinese capital hosted celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II. The main venue for the celebrations was Tiananmen Square, where more than 20 Рeads of state and government gathered.
The symbol of the celebrations was an installation in the shape of the Great Wall of China with the numbers 1945 and 2025, representing the connection between generations, the resilience and unity of the people. This was reported by

The celebrations ended with a festive gala concert.
Xi Jinping also held talks with foreign leaders. During the meeting, Subianto noted that it was a great honour for him to participate in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Chinese capital.
The celebrations in Beijing were not only a tribute to the heroes, but also a symbol of the global desire for peace, which was reflected in the declaration of the BRICS summit held in Rio de Janeiro. In it, the leaders of the participating countries emphasise the importance of remembering World War II and the need for joint efforts to strengthen peace.
