Brazil to train 10,000 youths for careers in gaming and e-sports

The Brazilian Ministry of Sport has announced a major initiative to train 10,000 young people for professional roles within the rapidly expanding gaming and e-sports industries.

This comes through a new partnership with a leading educational institution, aiming to deliver free, comprehensive online courses starting November 2025, as reported by the
official website of the Brazilian Ministry of Sport.

Tailored for youth aged 15 to 29, primarily from public schools, the programme offers training across technical, behavioural and linguistic skills essential for employment in e-sports and digital content creation. This initiative aligns with national efforts to provide equal chances for all young people, reflecting a commitment to social equity within Brazil’s digital economy.

The online courses will cover a broad spectrum of topics related to gaming and e-sports, aiming to enhance competencies, stimulate innovation, and position electronic sports as a powerful tool for social inclusion and economic development.

By fostering digital literacy and practical expertise, the initiative aspires to empower young Brazilians to thrive not only in the job market but also as active, informed participants in the digital society.
