Indonesia’s tourism sector recorded solid growth in July 2025, with both foreign arrivals and domestic trips showing significant year-on-year increases, according to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS). This is reported by
Antara News.
International tourist arrivals reached 1.48 million, a 13 per cent rise compared with July 2024. Malaysia remained the largest source market with 212,113 visitors. From January to July, total foreign arrivals grew 10.04 per cent year-on-year to 8.53 million.
“We are optimistic this trend will continue until the end of the year,” Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana said.
Domestic tourism also performed strongly, with 100.2 million trips in July, up 29.72 per cent year-on-year.
“This positive trend is the result of ongoing collaboration between the government and tourism stakeholders to enhance destination appeal, increase tourist interest, and build an inclusive and sustainable tourism ecosystem,” Minister Wardhana said.
