UAE clinches 18 medals at Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship

Athletes from the United Arab Emirates stood out on the final day of the 7th Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Abu Dhabi, securing 18 medals: six gold, seven silver and five bronze.

The tournament, held from 5 to 7 September, confirmed the country’s position as one of the continent’s leading championships and as a hub for some of the world’s best competitors, according to
Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

With 1,800 athletes from 10 countries competing, the event featured top names in the master and professional categories, as well as youth and junior divisions, all within a highly competitive and professional environment.

The competition also underlined Abu Dhabi’s commitment to the global development of jiu-jitsu and its role as the sport’s world capital.
