According to the National Statistics Bureau, Kazakhstan’s gross domestic product increased by 6.5 per cent in January–August 2025, the Ministry of National Economy reports.
Trade grew by 8.9 per cent, mainly due to the wholesale segment, which accounts for two-thirds of the industry. This is reported by

Industry increased by 7.6 per cent, with the manufacturing sector growing by 6.5 per cent compared to the same period last year. The main areas of growth were: mechanical engineering (+15.1 per cent), food production (+10.1 per cent), oil refining (+7.6 per cent), the chemical industry (+7.5 per cent) and metallurgy (+1.1 per cent).
In construction, output increased by 18.1 per cent, and in transport and warehousing by 21.5 per cent. Agriculture showed more moderate growth of 3.4 per cent.
