The Indonesian government has announced four main strategies to strengthen the role of higher education in national development. This is reported by
Antara News.
Deputy Minister for Higher Education, Science, and Technology Fauzan said that the strategies include improving governance, leadership, and talent development; advancing academic transformation and curriculum digitalization; sustaining innovation and research ecosystems; and expanding collaboration between government, universities, industry, the public, and the media.
Fauzan also linked the strategies to President Prabowo Subianto’s eight national missions (Asta Cita), which highlight science and talent as the foundation for national self-sufficiency.
The ministry has introduced policies to make universities more inclusive and responsive to real-world needs.
