Kazakhstan is set to establish a new research university dedicated to artificial intelligence, aiming to become a hub for knowledge, innovation, and international collaboration.
The institution will specialise in training highly qualified specialists capable of applying AI technologies across all sectors of the economy, reports
Kazinform, a partner of TV BRICS.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced the initiative during the first meeting of the Council for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Astana. He stressed that the university should be granted a special status and that leading global universities should be involved as partners.
The President highlighted the strategic importance of the university, noting that it will serve not only as a centre for scientific research but also as a platform to drive technological innovation and strengthen Kazakhstan’s international ties in the field of artificial intelligence.
