Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa has announced the launch of the National Youth Empowerment Strategy, a framework aimed at increasing youth involvement in the country’s economic and social transformation, according to
ZBC News, a partner of TV BRICS.
The Minister of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training, Tino Machakaire, said the strategy will serve as a guiding framework for structured empowerment, capacity building, and economic inclusion.
The strategy’s key initiatives include expanding vocational training centres, strengthening entrepreneurship programmes, and providing agricultural and mining equipment to help young people launch and develop their businesses.
The strategy is expected to be unveiled during Zimbabwe’s first Youth Empowerment Symposium, to be held from 21–22 October. The event will bring together more than 200 youth-led enterprises from across the country, showcasing products and services in key sectors such as agriculture, ICT, creative arts, sport, green energy, tourism, mining, and manufacturing.
