As stated on the official
website of the Government of Brazil, the parties will sign a series of bilateral agreements. The documents envisage expanding cooperation in the fields of science and technology, green energy, agriculture, and statistics.

It is noted that both countries are among the largest developing economies in the world, representing a combined market of nearly 500 million people. Brazil, which chairs BRICS in 2025, has previously welcomed Indonesia’s accession to the group.

This is Lula da Silva’s first visit to Indonesia since 2008. In turn, Subianto visited Brazil in July this year.
