Russia and Belarus boost agricultural trade by 22% in 2025

A meeting between the Minister of Agriculture of Russia, Oksana Lut, and the Ambassador of Belarus to Moscow, Aleksander Rogozhnik, was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. The main topic of discussion was the results and prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the agro-industrial sector, reports the
press service of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the ministry, from January to August of the current year, mutual trade in agricultural products between the two states increased by 22 per cent compared with the same period last year. The main contribution to the growth came from the supply of dairy, meat and confectionery products.

During the talks, the parties emphasised the need to further improve trade regulation mechanisms and ensure equal conditions for producers in both countries. The Minister and the Ambassador paid special attention to joint work within the framework of the Union State and the Eurasian Economic Commission, where key decisions on the development of the common agricultural market are being shaped.

Russia and Belarus are actively cooperating in the agro-industrial sector. Specialists from the two countries are jointly developing robotic equipment that automates livestock care processes, including feeding, cleaning of facilities and microclimate control.
