A new-format documentary series, “The Art of Sport”, produced by the TV BRICS International Media Network, will be released in BRICS+ countries. The television project showcases Russia’s modern achievements in physical culture and sport, emphasising their aesthetics through various art forms. The films are set to premiere on 17 and 24 December 2025 on the Russian-language TV BRICS channel. Following its broadcast in Russia, “The Art of Sport” series will be adapted into foreign languages and distributed to TV BRICS media network partners worldwide.
The media project was created with the support of the autonomous non-profit organisation “Council for the Support of Cultural and Sports Projects”.

Ivan Zakharenko clarified that the media network undertakes extensive, comprehensive work to support international cooperation in physical culture and sport, promote a healthy lifestyle in BRICS countries, and facilitate professional exchange of experience and the development of an expert community. For example, TV BRICS acted as a key information partner for the BRICS Sports Games in Kazan and traditionally supports the “Russia: Country of Sports” forum and the Olympic Games.
The documentary series “The Art of Sport” features four 12-minute short films, detailing Russia’s achievements in wrestling, equestrian sport, triathlon, and curling. These sports are correlated with art forms such as sculpture, painting, theatre, and music.
The films’ protagonists include Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling Davit Chakvetadze, International Master of Sport in equestrianism Anastasiya Shcherbakova, European Triathlon Championship silver medallist Diana Isakova, and Russia’s most decorated curler, Kira Ezekh. Opinions in “The Art of Sport” were shared by Mikhail Mamiashvili, President of the Russian Wrestling Federation; Marina Sechina, President of the Equestrian Federation of Russia; Ksenia Shoigu, Head of the Russian Triathlon Federation; and Dmitry Svishchev, President of the Russian Curling Federation.
Previously, TV BRICS launched two other television projects on Russia’s sectoral achievements, intended for media export to BRICS+ countries. In 2024, the “Laboratorium” programme debuted, focusing on cutting-edge technological developments and world-class scientific discoveries made in Russia. In 2025, the documentary series “BRICS Grain” was released, covering grain production and international coordination in ensuring food security.
