
Russia’s Orenburg Region will present its investment and cultural and humanitarian projects to an international media audience through TV BRICS. A corresponding cooperation agreement was signed in Moscow by Vice Governor – Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Orenburg Region for Economic and Investment Policy Anton Efimov and CEO of the TV BRICS International Media Network Janna Tolstikova.
The partners’ cooperation will be aimed at enhancing the investment and business potential of the Orenburg Region, shaping a positive image of the region in the BRICS+ countries, and strengthening Russia’s international standing. TV BRICS intends to inform foreign audiences about the region’s achievements across various socio-economic sectors and to promote cooperation between media outlets of the Orenburg Region and their foreign counterparts.

The Orenburg Region is part of Russia’s Volga Federal District. According to the National Investment Climate Ranking of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, it ranks in the TOP 20, holding 15th place. More than 1.8 million people live in the Orenburg Region, representing over 120 nationalities. The region borders Kazakhstan and has the longest border with the republic among Russia’s regions. Preferential regime zones have been established in the region, allowing both Russian and foreign investors to save up to 30 per cent of the costs of launching a new project.

The Orenburg Special Economic Zone is among the top three industrial-production-type special economic zones in Russia. Six clusters have been created on its territory: logistics, construction, agro-industrial complex, mechanical engineering, IT technologies, and a comprehensive eco-technopark. At present, 25 Russian and foreign companies have obtained resident status in the economic zone. Freight and passenger flows pass through the region along the “Centre – Central Asia” and “West – East” routes. More than 2,500 deposits of 75 types of mineral resources have been explored in the Orenburg Region. The core sectors of the economy include gas, oil, energy, metallurgy, and mechanical engineering. The Orenburg Region is the second largest grain-producing area in Russia, annually harvesting over 3 million tonnes of grain crops as well as sunflower. The region has trade partners in more than 80 countries.

CEO of the TV BRICS International Media Network Janna Tolstikova emphasised that international regional cooperation today is becoming a driving force for national economies and contributes to strengthening trade, business, and humanitarian ties between countries.

Today, TV BRICS’ official partners include more than 100 media organisations from over 30 countries worldwide, as well as higher education institutions, government bodies, and major public and non-profit organisations. In Russia, for example, TV BRICS cooperates in exporting achievements with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects (ASI), Roskachestvo, the Moscow Centre for International Cooperation, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. Abroad, TV BRICS works in this area with the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province (PRC), the Black Business Council in South Africa, and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency ApexBrasil.
