The Mediagora-2026 Forum named after Olga Davidenko, will take place at the Solnechnaya Dolina ski resort in the Chelyabinsk Region from 27 February to 1 March. The main theme this year will be “MediaKitchen”. Participants – more than 200 journalists, editors and bloggers – will look for recipes for successful content and explore the gastronomic code of the Southern Urals. The TV BRICS International Media Network will act as the international information partner of the event.
“The MediaKitchen theme is a successful metaphor for our shared task. How to find the juiciest stories in a region’s life and turn them into information products that a wide audience will want to ‘taste’. How to talk ‘with flavour’ not only about gastronomy but also about any topics that may seem complex,” said Svetlana Zaitseva, Chair of the Union of Journalists of the Chelyabinsk Region.
The central event of the business programme will be the round table “Promotion of a region’s gastronomic code”, which will focus on regional development through the gastro industry and the role of media in this process. It will be moderated by TV presenter Sergey Malozyomov. The discussion will be attended by Editor-in-Chief of TV BRICS Ksenia Komissarova, well-known food bloggers and representatives of other media outlets.
“The winter media forum is a significant event for the Chelyabinsk Region. […] Through the business programme, sport, gastronomy and personal communication, participants and speakers will discover – for themselves and their audiences – a modern, multinational and welcoming Southern Urals,” said Sergey Zyus, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Chelyabinsk Region.
A special guest of the forum will be sports commentator Dmitry Guberniev. Participants will also enjoy a gastronomic dinner featuring dishes by the region’s chefs, as well as an award ceremony for winners of professional competitions for journalists and PR specialists.
The forum is named after Olga Davidenko, former Chair of the Union of Journalists of the Chelyabinsk Region. It is being held for the fifth time at the Solnechnaya Dolina resort and grew out of the Media Cup in alpine skiing and snowboarding for journalists. The sports programme will also be part of the forum this year.
