India top medal table at ISSF Junior World Cup in rifle and shotgun shooting in Egypt | TV BRICS, 27.04.26

India’s national team finished first in the overall medal standings at the ISSF Junior World Cup in rifle and shotgun shooting, held in Cairo. The team collected 16 medals: five gold, six silver and five bronze, according to ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.

Three Indian shooters won gold medals in individual events. Shiva Narwal took first place in the 10m air pistol. Prachi Gaikwad won the 50m rifle three positions event among women. Vanshika Chaudhary secured gold in the women’s 10m air pistol.

India claimed another gold in a mixed team event. Shambhavi Shravan Kshirsagar and Divyanshu Dewangan won the final in the 10m air rifle mixed team event, setting a junior world record of 499.9 points.

A total of 284 shooters from 26 countries took part in the Cairo stage of the World Cup. India fielded the largest team, with 71 athletes.

Athletes from BRICS+ countries continue to demonstrate strong performances across various sports, regularly reaching the podium at international competitions.

The Brazil national rhythmic gymnastics team won a silver medal at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup stage in Baku in the five balls event, scoring 26.350 points, according to Agencia Brasil.
