President Cyril Ramaphosa says work done by the Madlanga Commission is commendable and he will listen to their request should they ask for more time.
Ramaphosa said this during his visit at Qamata Great Place in Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape.
In his capacity as ANC President, Ramaphosa led the launch of Chris Hani Volunteers drive as part of the ANC’s programme to strengthen the work ahead of the 2026 local government elections.
“We are beginning to see real transformative processes that are emerging through the Madlanga Report and that is going to enable us to get rid of the rocks and the challenges of our police service. Obviously, I am very pleased with the work that has been done by Madlanga Commission. It may well be that they need a little bit more time and I will listen to that request if it comes and obviously the report that no they need to give is a critical one that will enable us to have the ability to reform our police service.”
