Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed an Executive Order allowing citizens of Vietnam to enter Russia without a visa for stays of up to 30 days. The measure will remain in force until 15 October 2027, inclusive, according to the Kremlin website.
Under the new procedure, Vietnamese citizens can travel to Russia using a valid Vietnamese passport. The arrangement applies to private and business visits, as well as tourism.
Visa-free entry is also permitted for participation in scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic and sporting events. The rules further cover transit through Russia and departure from the country.
The arrangement does not apply to Vietnamese citizens travelling to Russia for employment, including journalistic work, education or permanent residence.
