Ramaphosa says service delivery, cleanliness improving in Mangaung

African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa says efforts to improve service delivery and cleanliness in Mangaung in the Free State are showing progress.

Speaking during a visit in ward 51, Phase 7 in Bloemfontein, Ramaphosa says work to clean up the metro is ongoing.

Ramaphosa says the conditions have improved since his previous visit. He also praised provincial and municipal leaders for addressing residents’ concerns, saying his engagements with communities had allowed him to hear both their challenges and the improvements they were experiencing.

He dismissed suggestions that internal party issues were derailing the ANC’s election campaign, saying the organisation had resolved its candidate registration challenges and was now united.

“We are united as an organisation. Like any other organisation, there will always be issues that arise. Like we had an election registration issue of candidates but we are over that now, and that is now behind us. The good thing about the ANC is that when we encounter challenges and problems, we find solutions, and once those solutions are found, we unite, we close ranks, and we move forward,” he says.
