Abu Dhabi’s tourism sector sees US$230 million boost

Hotels achieved an 87 per cent occupancy rate in April 2025

In April 2025, hotel establishments in Abu Dhabi recorded revenues totalling approximately US$230 million. This figure included US$146.9 million from room bookings, US$69.7 million from food and beverage services, and US$13.9 million from other revenue sources.

According to the
Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS, preliminary data from the Department of Culture and Tourism shows that approximately 531,000 guests stayed in Abu Dhabi’s hotels in April 2025. This strong turnout highlights the emirate’s growing as a world-class tourist destination, supported by diverse accommodation options and high standards of hospitality.

A total of 172 hotel establishments with 34,383 rooms were in operation during the month. They recorded more than 1.52 million guest nights, achieving an 87 per cent occupancy rate.

Visitors from non-Arab Asian countries topped the list with 149,000 guests, followed closely by Europeans with 148,000, and Emiratis with 97,000.
