African Energy Week (AEW) will take place from 12 to 16 October 2026 in Cape Town, the legislative capital of South Africa. TV BRICS will serve as the international media partner of the event.
The theme of the 2026 event is “Invest in African Energies: Affordable and Abundant Energy Additions”. Participants will discuss attracting investment into energy projects, industry regulation and the development of new oil and gas fields.
Separate sessions will focus on the development of oil refining in South Africa, prospects for offshore field development in Angola and the exploration of new hydrocarbon reserves. Experts will also consider financing renewable energy projects and supplying electricity to data centres.
The forum is expected to welcome delegates from more than 100 countries, including over 300 ministers and other senior representatives, more than 400 industry speakers and representatives of over 1,500 companies.
