Doctors at Tianjin Fifth Central Hospital are now using a Smart Ultrasound Remote Consultation System. Through the system, senior specialists at top-tier hospitals can connect remotely, offering real-time guidance and diagnostic opinions. This is reported by

The smart ultrasound platform, introduced in Tianjin’s community hospitals last year, was developed by the Institute for Electronics and Information Technology in Tianjin together with its incubated company.
The system improves diagnostic accuracy through both AI and remote consultations, reduces the need for patients to travel repeatedly to larger hospitals, and also supports online training, and case studies.
Behind these frontline improvements lies robust technical infrastructure and what Wang Pengfei, Vice-President of the Institute, calls a closed-loop mechanism: from research and validation to product development and industrialisation.
