Films by directors from BRICS countries were presented at the event

The second Street Film Festival was held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. TV BRICS was the international media partner of the event. Like last year, the festival was supported by the Sakhalin Oblast Government.

From 7 to 10 August, more than a hundred films of different genres were shown on the open area in front of the Oktyabr cinema. The festival also showcased 4 works by local directors, 7 films from the competitive programme and 16 out of competition, as well as popular Russian films such as “Emergency Landing” (also known as “At the Sun, Along the Corn Rows”), “Kholop 2”, “Ice 3”, “Dream Team”, “The Stars Will Guide Me” and “The Bremen Town Musicians”.

The audience also saw a rich animation programme with 93 works, including those created by directors from BRICS countries. In addition, TV BRICS International Media Network provided 8 documentaries from Brazil, India, Iran and South Africa.

“I’m thrilled that ‘Lisa and her mole’ was part of TV BRICS special screenings, sharing a heartwarming story with Sakhalin viewers. This film highlights the importance of kindness, self-love, and compassion, values that resonate deeply with audiences worldwide. I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect with viewers in Russia through this beautiful animation”
