Brazil and Saudi Arabia have officially commenced an action plan for energy cooperation, marking a significant step in strengthening ties between the two nations. The inaugural meeting set the stage for implementing the agreement signed in June, paving the way for deeper strategic partnerships. This is reported by the
official website of the government of Brazil.
Representatives from both countries presented proposals across a range of crucial areas. These included global oil and energy markets, gas and petrochemicals, electricity and renewables, sustainability and climate change, energy efficiency, low-emission hydrogen, supply chain resilience, and sustainable solutions for cooking fuels.
A senior figure from Brazil’s Ministry of Mines and Energy emphasised that the cooperation unlocks new opportunities and reinforces Brazil’s role as a global leader in the energy transition.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish technical working groups to refine the initiatives over the coming months, with the ultimate aim of achieving tangible benefits for both Brazil and Saudi Arabia.
