It includes cooperation on advanced telecommunications, including 5G and 6G
Brazil and Vietnam have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. This is reported by the
official website of Brazil’s Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation.
The new MoU builds upon the existing 2008 Agreement on Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the two countries and is designed to deepen institutional, academic, scientific, and economic collaboration.
The partnership prioritises key areas such as artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, big data, semiconductors, the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, digital governance, and cloud computing.
It also includes cooperation on advanced telecommunications, including 5G and 6G, support for start-ups, innovation ecosystems, and digital transformation in critical sectors like smart cities, healthcare, and education.
The agreement outlines specific mechanisms for cooperation, including joint research projects, academic exchange programmes, expert missions, seminars, policy dialogue, and training initiatives. It further encourages the promotion of public-private partnerships and technology transfer to support inclusive digital development, the source claims.
