Brazil secured the bronze medal at the Women’s Volleyball World Championship after a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Japan in Bangkok, Thailand, on Sunday. This is reported by

The South Americans came from behind to win in five sets, with captain Gabi starring as the match’s top scorer with 35 points. She was also named the tournament’s best outside hitter.
The result offered consolation for Brazil after their semi-final defeat to eventual champions Italy the previous day. Under head coach Jose Roberto Guimaraes, the team showed resilience to overturn a two-set deficit and claim a place on the podium.
