Brazil ramps up energy investments with BRICS bank support
Brazil’s Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira, met with Dilma Rousseff, President of the BRICS New Development Bank (NDB), to discuss plans to increase investment in the country’s energy sector. The meeting was held at the NDB headquarters in Shanghai. This is reported by

The two sides discussed strategies to expand energy infrastructure financing, with a special focus on renewable energy development, job creation, sustainable development and modernisation of public administration.
Silveira emphasised Brazil’s commitment to remain a leader in clean energy. “It is essential to ensure that Brazil remains at the forefront of the race for cleaner and more efficient alternative energy sources,” the Minister said.
Rousseff and Silveira also discussed the role of the NDB in promoting energy transition projects.
