Brazil’s president advocates the inclusion of African countries in the G20

The politician emphasised the importance of cooperation with African countries in food production and ecology

Brazilian President Lula da Silva believes that African countries should be represented in the Group of Twenty (G20). He made this statement at the opening of the 37th African Union (AU) summit. This is reported by ENA.

Lula da Silva also spoke in favour of strengthening cooperation between Brazil and the African continent in various fields to achieve progress and solve global problems. He added that more than 200 million Brazilians consider themselves of African descent.

The President emphasised the need for African and Brazilian peoples to create a new global governance system to address various challenges. The politician also acknowledged the undeniable progress of the BRICS alliance in uniting developing countries and noted the crucial role of the organisation’s member states in overcoming global crises.

The leader expressed willingness to co-operate with Africa in areas such as food production, ecology and health. To promote these initiatives, the President proposed the creation of a post on advanced co-operation with the African Union.
