This is an increase of 4 percentage points from the previous week

According to the consultancy, work is now concentrated in later in the calendar states in the north/northeast and Rio Grande do Sul, where dry weather has allowed good progress and has not damaged areas that are still filling with grain. This is reported by
Brasil 247, a partner of TV BRICS.

“In the north/northeast, above-average rainfall is still limiting harvest progress in some areas, but complaints of quality problems caused by excess moisture are only rarely reported,” the report said.

As for the maize harvest, the consultancy said crop development over the past week showed contrasting conditions in the south-central areas. Mato Grosso, Goias, Minas Gerais, northern Sao Paulo and northern Mato Grosso do Sul recorded the largest harvest.
