Cuba and China have signed 11 cooperation agreements during President Miguel Diaz-Canel’s official visit to Beijing, reports

The accords cover a wide range of areas including China’s Belt and Road Initiative, political consultations, cultural exchanges, agriculture, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, and media collaboration.
In talks at the Great Hall of the People, Diaz-Canel praised China’s contributions to multilateralism and global governance, as well as its economic achievements. He expressed Cuba’s gratitude to China for their continued support.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, in turn, described the relationship between the two nations as an “ironclad friendship”, thanking Diaz-Canel for attending commemorations of the
80th anniversary of China’s victory in World War II.
