China fights for a cleaner environment

China’s central authorities have commenced a fresh phase of ecological assessments

Five teams have been dispatched to Fujian, Henan, Hainan, Gansu, and Qinghai provinces for month-long inspections as part of the initial round of the third phase. This is reported by
Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.

Their primary focus on executing crucial decisions regarding the development of ecological civilization and ensuring compliance with environmental protection obligations at the provincial level.

The inspectors pay special attention to the implementation of measures aimed at meeting carbon emission reduction targets, as well as the regulation of high-energy and high-emission projects. Furthermore, they will address severe environmental and pollution issues.

The ministry also emphasized that municipal Party committees and governments will actively undertake protective measures in adherence to environmental standards.
