China grants over 85,000 visas to Indian citizens in first quarter of 2025

The increase marks a significant rise in travel between the two countries

In a clear sign of strengthening diplomatic and cultural relations, the Chinese Embassy in India has issued more than 85,000 visas to Indian nationals in the first three months of 2025. This is reported by
Trinity Mirror, a partner of TV BRCS.

According to an official statement from the embassy, most of these visas were issued for purposes including business, education, tourism, and family visits.

The embassy reiterated its commitment to improving visa services, with faster processing times and simplified procedures aimed at encouraging greater cross-border engagement.

A spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy commented that this sharp rise in visa approvals reflects a growing mutual interest and signals a positive shift in Sino-Indian relations.

The development is closely linked to recent growth in academic exchanges, trade exhibitions, and cultural initiatives between the two nations.
