In the first half of 2026, cross-border e-commerce turnover in Suifenhe, which borders Russia, exceeded 2 billion yuan (approximately US$296.6 million), representing a 40 per cent increase compared with the same period in 2025 and setting a new record for the city. Suifenhe plays a significant role in China–Russia trade. This was reported by

According to the local government, Suifenhe is actively developing its e-commerce infrastructure, capitalising on its geographical advantage as a border city. An official border warehouse (FBP model) has been commissioned, and an integrated order fulfilment system has been established, enabling all operations – from storage and sorting to customs clearance and logistics – to be carried out via a single-window system.
This innovation has increased the processing speed of transit goods by more than 50 per cent, significantly reducing logistics costs for small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in foreign trade.
The streamlined business environment at the border crossing continues to attract cross-border e-commerce operators from Heilongjiang Province and other regions of China. This has increased the concentration of trade flows and boosted the number of market participants.
