China’s Vice Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong: China-Africa Cooperation summit to strengthen relations between two regions

China says the upcoming China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit in Beijing, which will bring together African leaders, will strengthen relations between the two regions. Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong made this statement at a press conference. This is reported by

Chen noted that Chinese President Xi Jinping attaches great importance to relations with Africa, as evidenced by the fact that his first foreign visit after taking office in 2013 was to Africa and he has since visited the continent five times.
