Chinese Vice-President Han Zheng calls for increased exchanges and cooperation among civilisations
The Vice-President made a speech during the Taihu World Cultural Forum held in Beijing
Chinese official emphasised the importance of embracing the diversity of civilisations and promoting collaboration and exchange among them. He delivered this message during the Taihu World Cultural Forum’s seventh annual conference held in Beijing, as reported by
China Daily, a partner of TV BRICS.
Han Zheng pointed up that in today’s interconnected world, future of nations is intertwined. Therefore, fostering dialogue and mutual understanding between civilisations serves as a significant catalyst for global cooperation, human advancement, and world peace. In addition to his speech, Vice-President added several suggestions for achieving results in this area:
promoting equality, mutual learning, dialogue, and inclusiveness between civilizations holds great significance
promoting common values in the world, and also to be aware of how different сivilisations perceive their values, and not impose their values on others
promoting cultural heritage and innovation
support, exchanges and cooperation between civilisations are required
The conference attracted an attendance of approximately 1,000 distinguished individuals, including, representatives from international organisations, and various other dignitaries.
