Cultural and artistic cooperation between Iran and Russia to be expanded

The Rudaki Foundation promotes new stage in development of relations between the countries⁠

The CEO of the Rudaki Foundation, Mohammad Allahyari Foumani, met with the First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Iran, Lilia Votinova, in Tehran. This was reported by
the Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS.

The officials discussed the possibilities of expanding the cultural and artistic activities of the two countries centred around the Rudaki Foundation.

According to Allahyari Foumani, the Rudaki Foundation can serve as an ideal venue for cultural and creative interactions between our two nations.

During the meeting, joint international programmes between Iran and Russia were touched upon, including the National Symphony Orchestra’s participation in the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the National Orchestra’s performance in Iran’s Culture Week in Russia.

Foumani added that, given the rich musical and artistic potential of both countries, establishing a bridge of communication and introducing the artistic and cultural bases can lead to significant achievements in cultural diplomacy and expanding bilateral interactions.

Lilia Votinova expressed Russia’s readiness to expand cooperation in various fields of art and discussed strategies for expanding cooperation.

Earlier, it was reported that the agreement on the establishment of cultural centres in our countries was fully and finally ratified on the Russian side.
