Dubai airports adopt new standards with AI-based inventory forecasting
Automation of the inventory ordering process has increased efficiency by 400%
Dubai Airports demonstrated the results of the artificial intelligence and machine learning-driven platform, which revolutionised supply management’s back-end processes. This is reported by
Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.
This strategy has been able to improve operational efficiency, optimise inventory management, and raise the standard of service provided to passengers at airports.
When the crew has replacement parts on hand, they can promptly complete engineering work orders, which expedites maintenance responses and minimises inconveniences for airport visitors.
Additionally, this tool has increased forecast accuracy by 30 per cent, enabling precise inventory planning and a 12 per cent reduction in excess inventory.
Efficiency has grown by 400 per cent as a result of automation of the inventory ordering process, which has also naturally integrated the preparation of purchase orders and greatly reduced the quantity of manual labour.
