Ecuadorian and Egyptian dignitaries discuss co-operation in oil and gas industry

Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla met with Ecuador’s Ambassador to Cairo Denys Toscano Amores

During the meeting, Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla emphasised that the opportunities for joint cooperation between the two countries are numerous and promising, especially in the field of oil and gas.

He also stressed that the Egyptian oil sector is ready to cooperate with Ecuador in the fields of research, exploration and production, given the vast experience that both sides possess.

For his part, the Ecuadorian ambassador said that he values and respects Egypt as a key country in the region and in the world, pointing to the mutual respect between the two countries, as well as the convergence of views and visions on many international issues and efforts to improve the lives of citizens, and expressed his country’s keenness to cooperate with Egypt in various oil fields and exchange experiences, in light of Egypt’s vast experience in oil and gas research and exploration. The meeting reviewed the latest preparations for the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Ecuadorian Ministry of Energy and Mines on cooperation in various industrial fields.

The officials also discussed the possibility of Ecuador benefiting from the Egyptian experience in the field of gas supply to homes, converting cars to run on gas and setting up stations to supply cars with compressed natural gas.
