At the meeting, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reviewed the progress of yacht tourism in Egypt. Highlighting the government’s efforts to maximise the economic benefits of the sector, Madbouly praised Egypt’s favourable environment for the development of the industry.
A new online platform dedicated to yacht tourism in Egypt will be launched soon, along with a number of incentives and promotional strategies. Minister of Transport Kamel Al-Wazir outlined initiatives to improve international yachts’ access to Egyptian marinas, working with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. This is reported by
Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.
Efforts to promote yacht tourism included the production of a film highlighting Egypt’s tourist ports and marinas, as well as a video describing simplified procedures for tourist yachts. The Ministry of Transport is also working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to distribute promotional materials worldwide through Egypt’s diplomatic missions.
Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Osama Rabie focused on attracting more tourist yachts, facilitating travelling between Egypt’s attractions and increasing foreign exchange inflows.
Prime Minister Madbouly emphasised the need for targeted global campaigns to promote Egypt’s coastal treasures and attract yacht tourism.
